Weekly Challenge/Plaid Builder Dies

Monday, September 14, 2020
This past weeks weekly challenge for the C3 team was a color combo challenge combined with the PLAID BUILDER DIES.
I spent some time prior to our team meeting and cut out one each of the 2 dies from every color of our card stock.
I had the girls randomly choose 2 colors, then pick out the pieces, take it home and create!
Some colors were easy to figure out and some were more challenging. That is the beauty of a color challenge.
For the girls who could not come to the meeting or if they lived too far away, I mailed out their pieces to them so no one had an excuse to not participate,
Rachel used only a portion of her dies on this very cool SEASIDE NOTIONS card. Her colors are Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow
Stephanie's colors are Balmy Blue and Real Red, and she went with a slim line Christmas card
Jodie's colors are Crumb Cake and Whisper White. She added a card base of Balmy Blue and used the WILDLY HAPPY Stamp Set
Barb's colors are Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz. Barb went with a beautiful Fall theme
This was my first card. The colors are Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight. Our school colors are Maize and Blue so this combo lended towards a graduation card. Our mascot is the eagle and this is a non Stampin' Up! stamp, but because I make a LOT of Eagle grad cards it is handy to have on hand. I added a layer of vellum between the Whisper White Card Base and the Pacific Point die cut piece. This softened the harshness of the stark white.
Karen said she struggled with her color combo of Soft Seafoam and Terracotta Tile, but I think it turned out very pretty! She added some Designer Paper just like I did with the Vellum, and added it to a Soft Suede card base,
This is the second card that I shared with the team. We had several pieces left over after everyone received theirs in the mail and what was handed out at the meeting, so I thought I would chip away at some of the combos. This combo color is Mossy Meadow and Cinnamon Cider. I added it to a Very Vanilla card base and added some fall leaves from GATHERED LEAVES DIES, the sprigs from the SUNFLOWER DIES, and a pumpkin from HARVEST HELLOS.  I actually had these pieces already cut out for another project so was very thankful for a chance to use them.
This is Ronda's first challenge to participate in and she did a great job. Ronda is also new to our team so doesn't have as many resources, but I think this is perfect. Ronda's colors are Old Olive and Bermuda Bay.
Pam's colors are Cinnamon Cider and Soft Seafoam. When we probably wouldn't pair these two colors together, Pam did a great job with also adding the Soft Seafoam to the little coffee cup. Her stamp set is NOTHING'S BETTER THAN. A great choice for her color scheme!
This is a card that I featured at the September Stamp a Stack Classes and fit well into our weekly challenge. It was inspired by Sharon Burkett. I used the TASTEFUL TOUCHES Bundle, and the greeting came form PARCELS & PETALS
Anna's colors are Very Vanilla & Basic Black and she made a wonderful Christmas Card for her challenge card.
Linda's colors are So Saffron and Garden Green  - so pretty with the Country Home Stamp Set
Bev's first challenge card and her colors are Sahara Sand and Just Jade - another super elegant card with the COUNTRY HOME Stamp Set, combined with some greenery from FOREVER FERN.
Bonnie's colors are Shaded Spruce and Purple Posy! - I'm very happy how all these color combinations are coming together
Lynda's colors are Pool Party and Granny Apple Green. She was thrilled when she found that the Whale Done Designer Paper had those colors in it.
Vicki's colors are Smoky Slate and Mint Macron. - Don't you just love those little goats!! Vicki used the Mirror Image Technique in order to get her goats to face one another.
Carla found her color combo of Magenta Madness and Crushed Curry to be rather challenging, but I think she did a great job using the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set
Debbie O's colors are Bumblebee and Blackberry Bliss, I love how she took her photo by a mason jar
Denellda's colors are Rococo Rose and Basic Gray. I love the turned down corner and the pretty daisies

Weekly Challenge

Monday, August 24, 2020
I was a bit disappointed in how many participated in the last weekly challenge so last week I just told them to share what they have been working on, and wow! did they ever start sharing...
Rachel shared that she was working on completing her July Paper Pumpkin kit
She also shared that she tried the MIRROR IMAGE technique with this seahorse card
Linda K shared that she made these post it note treats for the nurses that work at the nursing home where her mother lives. How very thoughtful!!
Some more cards that Linda worked on
Janell has been working on some fun folds. the Stamp Set that she used is called HALLOWS NIGHT MAGIC
And she also made some gorgeous Christmas cards: she called it de-bossing because she put the silver foil into the embossing folder backwards. Kind of like a happy mistake. The Bundle she is using on this card is called CHERSH THE SEASON.
Janell also made this pretty partial die cut technique card
Lynda C. has been playing with her CUTE FRUIT Stamp Set. She said that her daughter thought that she was using Designer Paper --- and that is the best part of Stampin' Up! stamps, we can make our own back ground paper for our cards.
Pam has been busy working on making cards for the teachers at a school near her home. - How very thoughtful!!
Not everyone was just working on cards -
Cindy made these barn wood tables for her daughter - now that's real talent
Bonnie shared some cute get well cards from BACK ON YOUR FEET stamp set. I guess as we get older we send out more cards for hip or knee replacements LOL!
Carla made a couple very pretty cards - I love how she layered the greenery
Jodie has been working on scrapbooking - and it looks like she has a pretty cute subject!!
Inez's team do an online group event on a fairly regular basis since so many from her team live at a distance. I applaud how well she takes care of her team.
This past weekend their team made cards using a sketch challenge so they are sharing them with me and I am sharing them with you.
 2 cards from Inez
2 cards from Vicki
All the same challenge, and all different. That is the best part of a a sketch challenge
The last cards to roll in are some more from Linda K - looks like she has kept pretty busy because she made at least 10 of each of these cards...
