Fresh Lemon MDS

Wednesday, April 30, 2014
I just LOVE My Digital Studio!!  I have made cards, journals and so much more.
My hubby is into making all natural hand soaps and he also makes some pump-style hand soap.  His most recent scent is FRESH LEMON.  It's so much fun when he asks me if I have a stamp for his labels.  Even easier - I have My Digital Studio to create his label!  I just downloaded the stamp set TART AND TANGY and went to work.  The yellow color he picked from my pallet is the far gone Yo Yo Yellow.  This is the beauty of My Digital Studio...both the stamp set and the Yo Yo Yellow are retired and have been for some time now, but with My Digital Studio they NEVER retire.

On Monday I went with a group from the Red Hot Stampers (and 2 from Christi's Creative Crew) to the Premiere Launch of the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog!!  WOOT WOOT!  what fun we had.  And guess what? in the NEW catalog there is a page spread of My Digital Studio so you can see cool projects that you can make using this fabulous program.

Won't you give it a try?

Here is a sneak peek at the front of the NEW CATALOG!!  I can't show you the inside (on line) yet, but if you pop on over I can show you the catalog in person.  You can also reserve your FREE catalog with me!!  No strings attached!!

These are the gals that all went to the Premiere - I love being a Red Hot Stamper!

Anticipation...

COME STAMP WITH ME!

Tuesday, April 29, 2014
Today is Tuesday and time to COME STAMP WITH ME!  These are the cards that will be out for you to make.  Can you see a theme here?  Three of the cards are using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die and three of the cards are using the (now retired) Backyard Basics Stamp Set and Framelits.  These cards were inspired by Dianne Sisneros, Ilina Crouse, Lynn Starzl, and Jen Timko.  I love the feeling of Springtime that these cards have - they just make me smile.

There is no need to RSVP - this is "open house" style so come when you can and leave when you must.  My craft room will be open from 10 am to 5 pm and you can make as many or as few as you want for only $1.50 each.  I will tell you, though, that my Tuesday class has been a HUGE hit and for the past three weeks I ran out of cards.  I am so very thankful for all the ladies who come to stamp with me.

FABULOUS!

Monday, April 28, 2014
One of the sweet gals that works in the office of our church is real finger nail polish geek.  She also works with our high schoolers so when it comes time for graduation she gifts each graduating girl with a bottle of finger nail polish. So when I saw this cute card idea come through by I just had to make one for Anna as it was her birthday yesterday!  I love how easy it is to make the bottom of the bottle using the Envelope Punch Board, and then the special effect the Crystal Effects give each bottle - looks just like the real thing.

Stamp Set: A Million and One
Colors: Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay
Designer Paper: Kaleidoscope - still available in the Occasions Catalog #132995 $10.95 for 12 sheets 12x12 double sided

I love love love Stampin' Up!'s papers and inks and how everything coordinates together.

The Retired List is trimming down fast so be sure to check it out and get what you need before it is too late.

Here is another My Paper Pumpkin card from the March issue. I added the little airplane from the retired stamp set SENT WITH LOVE because this card is going to Miss Erin who just earned her wings as a flight attendant for Delta.  I'm hoping when I fly Delta to Utah in July for Stampin' Up!'s Convention that Erin will be my flight attendant.  I miss seeing her at church each week, but can also see God's leading her in this direction.

You can also purchase some of the previous months kits if you like what you see.  It all starts by going to Mypaperpumpkin.com and PLEASE be sure to add my name as your demonstrator (Christi Waite, Hudsonville MI) when you are prompted - it really helps me out a TON

Get Your Ribbon Fix!

Thursday, April 24, 2014
SO EXCITED!! Why?  because on Saturday my pen pal, Becky, is driving up from Fort Wayne for a visit!!  Becky is also in my downline and her friend, Angela, is in Becky's downline which makes Angela my second level downline!!  LOVE IT! Angela sent me a photo of a ribbon holder and asked my handy hubby if he would be willing to make one for her and one for Becky.  YOU BET!  Love all the Stampin' Up! ribbon that this will hold for them. Most of all I can't wait to see my dear friend!

Since I am featuring this handy dandy ribbon holder I thought I would share with you some cards that I made using the wonderful Stampin' Up! ribbon as well as featuring some of the retiring products. You can see the original posts for these cards HERE

This first card features the Paper Doily Sizzlit Die and the Stamp set called BABY PRINTS.  Both these items are on the retired list.  The ribbon on this card is called Organza and (happy dance) it will still be available in the up coming 2014-2015 catalog releasing to all of you on June 1st!!  Can't wait!! How about you?  If you can't wait to get your hands on a copy of the NEW CATALOG you can purchase the Starter Kit and get your catalog EARLY!! You can also preorder from the new catalog before anyone else.  Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has so many fun perks!  I will be getting my NEW CATALOG on MONDAY at a live Catalog Premiere!! Can't wait for a road trip with the Red Hot Stampers!!

This second card also features the BABY PRINTS Stamp Set and some Taffeta Ribbon.  ALL the Taffeta Ribbon is being retired - so sad, I loved this style ribbon! The Words on this card are from the Stamp Set CUDDLES AND KISSES which is also on the retired list.

As I am writing this blog post all these items are still available so click HERE to shop the Retired List, the Clearance Rack, the Occasions Catalog, and the Regular Catalog.  It is a perfect time to stock up on your papers and accessories (ribbons, buttons, brads, candy dots, etc) because TOMORROW is the LAST DAY to get the FREE SHIPPING!  This is a HUGE savings to you!!  Don't waste it!

Please Pardon My Dust

Wednesday, April 23, 2014
Wall #1 is done with the dry wall and sanding and now time to move everything over to the other side of the room so Dale can start on Wall #2.  He has been wet-sanding which has helped a LOT with the amount of dust, but for the final sanding last night he thought he should dry sand - therefore my title is "Please Pardon My Dust"!  He also got this wall by the steps studded.

It is just a cluttery mess down there

My once full stamp shelves are now sitting empty and my tables are full of stamp sets

The above table has my current stamp sets on it and this next table is full of my retired stamps.  Once I move all the newly retired stamps over to the retired section I am sure my table will not be able to hold it.  This a a HUGE test of patience.

Don't forget to check out all of the retired stamps and accessories by clicking HERE

There are several things already sold out so don't miss out on getting your wish list filled - AND with FREE SHIPPING through FRIDAY it is a win-win situation

What stamp set will you want to get before it is too late?  I know I will miss having ZOO REVIEW in my line up of current stamps.  Gracie loves giraffes and so I know I will be using this stamp set for a long time, but if you don't get it before it is gone then it will be too late.  Remember it is ALL - "while supplies last".  This card was inspired by Melva Peters at Stampin' Connection and I originally posted this card HERE

Thanks for stepping into my craft room and watching the progress on the remodeling.  And thanks, too, for all the fabulous ladies who stopped in yesterday for my COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY class.  My craft room was busy the entire time!  I love it!!  See you next week for 4 more fabulous cards!!

Retiring Stamps and Accessories Lists

Monday, April 21, 2014
The Retiring Stamp and Accessory Lists are officially out!

I just spent a good chunk of time going over the list and marking my catalog.
This is how I mark my book - I use this teeny tiny pair of lips stamp that I bought a year or so ago (which is retired - how appropriate) to KISS my stamps and accessories good-bye - I think I saw something like this on Dawn Griffith's blog and started using for myself.  That way I can see at a glance if a product is retired.

While I am marking up my catalog my hubby is wet sanding the first wall in my craft room and he is laughing at how many times I say "REALLY?" or "Oh, I'm going to miss that one", or "I can't believe it!",  Haha - he got a good chuckle out of my frustrations I guess.  What am I going to miss the most - really hard to say, but I use the SQUARE LATTICE EMBOSSING FOLDER a lot and was shocked to see it on the retired list.

Some of the stamps and accessories I was not surprised to see on the list HOWEVER - there were MANY that I was VERY surprised at.  Here are the links for you to check out the retired product

RETIRING STAMPS LIST

Go to my site HERE to place your order

These are the WEEKLY DEALS that end today
And just a heads up - just on this list alone the ANYWHERE GLUE STICKS,  NEEDLEPOINT EMBOSSING FOLDERS, NIGHT OF NAVY STITCHED RIBBON, OUTER SPACE STAMPIN' AROUND WHEEL, and the VENETIAN ROMANCE DESIGNER PAPER are all on the retired list.

Baby Shower Invitations

Saturday was the baby shower for our Jessica and baby Waite.  I am so excited to celebrate this new grand baby that is joining our family in June.  Today I thought I would share with you the invitation that I made to send out to all the guests.

I saw this baby buggy card on several blogs like Jill at jill031070.blogspot.com and Sandy at www.sandystamper.com, but I chose to make ours in Certainly Celery (because will not know if baby Waite is a boy or a girl until the arrival day) using up my stock of retired Certainly Celery paper (boohoo).  Stay tuned - I will share more baby shower pictures and show you the favors I made for everyone.

Product used: Scallop Circle Die and the Big Shot, Punches: (retired) Eyelet Border, Itty Bitty punch pack for the circle and "flower" for the center of the wheel, 3/4" and 1" circles.  These were so much fun to make and I loved making Jessica's baby shower special.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter Everyone!

Sunday, April 20, 2014
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!!  Hope you all are having a Blessed Easter, celebrating our RISEN Lord!!

This will be my final Easter card to post - I hope you have been inspired to make some of your own.

Once again I used the EASTER BLESSINGS (retired) stamp set and CROSSES OF HOPE (also retired) and I teamed them up with the stamp set PETITE PETALS.  Some of the flowers are stamped directly onto the cardstock and some are popped up.  I used the Bird Builder Punch for the leaves and some tiny pearls to accent the flower centers.
Colors: Elegant Eggplant and Pink Pirouette
