Sweet Saturday

Saturday, September 6, 2014
Last week Saturday we got together as a family to celebrate our youngest son, Joey's, 28th birthday. Our family started something 2 years ago that was kind of fun.  The birthday person always got to pick out the restaurant that we would eat at but we started doing it according to the alphabet.  A=Alpin Rose, B=Bagger Daves, and so forth.  Joey was up to the letter M for his choice and was struggling to settle on an M restaurant so he asked if he could have "Mom's Home Cooking"! SWEET! Then he chose the menu of all items starting with the letter M.  We had Manicotti, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Marshmallow Fruit Salad, Macaroni Salad, and Gracie and I made Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups and I filled them with a cheesecake filling topping them with a fresh raspberry and a mint leaf. (my mom always taught us to make our food pretty)

I tell you these Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups were scrumptious!
Joey, the birthday boy is the one in the green shirt. Aunt Julie held Sawyer through the entire dinner
Tyler was pretty proud that he got to hold baby Sawyer

Sawyer can pull some funny faces, but he actually gave Gramma a little smile that day!

Enjoying the outdoors and playing some bean bag toss

What a fun time we had with the kids!
Thanks for stopping by, and sharing our day with us!
