Christi's Creative Crew: Puppies!!

Yesterday I gave you an update on Katy, but today I need to share some good news about Lucy

Lucy surprised us on Friday by delivering her puppies 3 days early. Her due date would have been between March 8-10 so when I stepped over to where she was resting in my craft room, I was noticing that she was panting. On further inspection she had already delivered puppy #1 and was in the process of delivering puppy #2.

Whew! a quick text to my hubby at work so he could come home and help.

It's so hard to get a good picture because Lucy is so protective, but I snapped this one when she went outside to do her "business".

They are all very uniform in size ranging from 5.5 oz and 6 oz.

We always give each of them names as they are born to keep track of who is who.

This time around we started the ABC naming game

Puppy #1 - Angelica

Puppy #2 - Bear

Puppy #3 - Candy

Puppy #4 - Dexter

Puppy #5 - Eliza

Yesterday I took them to the vet to get their dew claws removed. It's hard on Lucy when we take them away so Dale had to distract her with going outside and then getting a much needed bath.

Our grand daughter, Gracie, was here again on the day they were born so she had a hand in naming 3 of them. Angelica and Eliza are from her favorite movie (right now), Hamilton.

Gracie will be getting one of the male puppies and has her sites on Bear right now, even though the name they chose for their puppy when it goes home will be Toby...Toby Bear! He is the lightest in color.

I will not be spending as much time in the craft room for the first couple weeks, but thankfully I have preplanned several cards for classes in advance so I will still have some fresh cards to post for you.
