Birthday Celebration

Today's cards are made using the BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Bundle and the Wildflower Birthday Designer Paper.

I fussy cut the little three tier cakes from one of the designer paper patterns

And don't you just love that Gold Open Weave Trim?

The embossing folder is called Starburst - it was a free item during Sale a bration - did you get yours?

Card #2 is considered a floating card using some Window Sheets. - The balloon is one of the ephemera pieces that come with the designer paper pack. This is a great way to use up your 1/2" strips.

How to make a Floating Card - add strips (mine are 1/2" wide) to some Window Sheets leaving a small space between each strip, then cut out using the die of your choice. I used Stylish Shapes - the largest circle.

It was inspired by Linda Dalke - one of our Australian Demonstrators. HERE

Card #3 - the cupcake and the tassels are also a part of the ephemera sheet that comes with the Designer Paper. - I changed up the sentiment using the happy birthday from YEAR of FLOWERS, and it was also heat embossed with gold.

The embossing folder is called FOREVER PLAID

Card #4 is using the other section of tassels that I trimmed off for the previous card, and was inspired by Stamping Beauty (no blog link)

I changed up the "Happy Birthday" using Friends For Life for the "Happy" and Biggest Wish (retired) for the "birthday." These were both heat embossed with gold.

The embossing folder is called Distressed Tiles

On each of these cards I used the Party Dots embellishments.

More Wildflower Birthday

Guess I have been on a mission to make as many pretty cards as I can using the WILDFLOWER BIRTHDAY Designer Paper

The hardest part for me has been the fact that I love the pretty in pink gingham print so much that I run out. I tell my ladies "it's just paper" but, my goodness, my favorite prints seem to be back to back and I cannot choose which card to make with which print. The "banner" comes from the sheet with the sections on them and of course the large floral spray comes from the ephemera sheet. (not shown in the photo)

Card  #1 was inspired by Brian King. Don't you just love that large spray of flowers? It makes me think of the bouquets that our grandson, Sawyer, loves to bring to us.

This Peach Pie color print is the backside of all of the sectioned pieces so I have to decide which sections I am willing to sacrifice to make a card with this print. I adjusted the size of my card to 5-1/2" x 4" to be able to get as many cards from the 12x12 sheet that I could without compromising all of the sections on the opposite side. I ran out of leaves in the punched out ephemera so I pulled out my Magnolia Mood stamp set and stamped the small flower with leaves in Basic Gray onto Basic White card stock and then colored it in with a light Old Olive Stampin' Blend. The leaves were the perfect size, and look like they belong with this set. Update: Magnolia Mood Stamp set is gone but you can still get the dies on the last chance list.

This card was inspired by one of our German demonstrators  

For card #3 the banners are cut from 2 different prints using the STYLISH SHAPES DIES, and the largest circle from the same die set. It was inspired by Amy Koenders and I love how she inspired me to stamp the words directly onto the printed DSP.

This smaller spray of flowers was fussy cut from one of the tags that are included in the sections sheet. I love to fussy cut so I cut out the sprays for my Tuesday stampers, and the size of the DSP is the flip side of  another one of the sectioned pieces. Like I said - I have to decide which section I am willing to sacrifice for another card. I chose to use the die from UNBOUNDED LOVE and the words from HOPE YOU KNOW. Some Twisted Gold Twine is the perfect addition because it ties in the gold foil that is wrapped around the flower stems. Inspired by a card I saw on FB. I chose to use some of the Peach Pie Ribbon instead of card stock.

The pretty layered cake image is also another section from the sheet that has all of the section pieces and I cut it out with the scalloped rectangle from the retired COLOR & CONTOUR dies. "Celebrate" comes from UNBOUNDED LOVE, and the 1/2" strip of the gold foil polka dots on Pretty in Pink is from another piece from the sectioned sheet. Some PARTY DOTS added on the cake decorations are the perfect touch and it was inspired by Candy but pinned by someone else on Pinterest so I do not have a blog post to link you to.

Wildflower Birthday

The Beautiful WILDFLOWER BIRTHDAY Designer Paper has been so much fun to work with. The colors are absolutely gorgeous in the subtle color family. Soft greens and pinks, peaches and a touch of blue!!

It comes with this sheet of sections that you can choose to use for tags or easy card fronts. Or you can use the Peach Pie design on the opposite side

There is also 2 sheets of punched out ephemera but I don't have a photo of that sheet, however you will see these pieces used on the cards

The cake slice is one of the ephemera's and the front piece is one cut from the multi-sectioned sheet. "Make a Wish" is stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with gold onto Basic White then cut out with a banner from Nested Essentials. it was inspired by Amy

This next card was inspired by Brian King

This card front is also from the multi-sectioned sheet, then I added the "46" for our daughter's April birthday card. The tiny little flowers popped up are from the ephemera sheet and I added some gold foil dots. 

This is a fun fold z-card. The birthday cake is one from the ephemera sheet, with the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from SIMPLY SAID. Just a few PARTY DOTS add so much to the total look, and it was inspired by Brenda

This fun card front was cut 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 then cut corner to corner, and then corner to corner again, flipping two of the sections over before attaching them to the Soft Sea Foam piece that measures 4 x 5-1/4.

It was inspired by Mary Deatherage

I used the SIMPLY SAID Stamp Set again for the "LET'S CELEBRATE", and again some Party Dots. The gold foil banner and the large ephemera comes from the ephemera sheet. It was inspired by Jaimie. I keep thinking that if I were to make more cards like this I probably would dry emboss the card base front, That is probably what tripped me up.

The Soft Sea Foam DSP is the opposite side of the floral. I love it, because I could cut out the Arch from EVERYDAY ARCHES and then just flip the desire paper over.  Once again the cake slice comes from the ephemera sheet, and I used Party Dots. It was inspired by Peggy Noe. When I made this card I did not have the BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Stamp Set so I compromised and used THROUGHOUT THE YEAR for the "HAPPY" - There is always a way to change things up.

Super easy card using a large ephemera and a circle from SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE. The "happy birthday from ROUND WE GO was heat embossed with white embossing powder onto Basic Black card stock using Versa Mark.  This card was inspired by Laurie Bradshaw

This last card also uses a large ephemera along with a gold foil sprig from that same ephemera sheet. The HBD for "Happy BirthDay" was cut from Basic White card stock using the MINI ALPHABET DIES, then glued onto some gold foil and fussy cut to give it a gold border. The PLASTER PAINTING 3D embossing folder is also a new product. This time instead of using Party Dots I used the FREE SAB Sequins, and some GOLD TWISTED THREAD.  It was inspired by Jaimie
