Henry Says...Happy Valentines Day

Henry is sharing our first Valentines Card with you.  I teamed up many of the HENRY SAYS stamps with another NEW stamp set called BEYOND PLAID.  It is perfect for creating a different ("outfit") look for Henry depending on what theme card you are making.  The words are from WISHES YOUR WAY, another new set in the Spring Catalog.  It works perfectly for teaming up with Henry blowing wishes from his trunk.

The Heart punches I used from the largest to the smallest...Small Heart, Heart to Heart (retired) and Owl Builder.

So what is Henry up to while I am attending the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference?  He is having a week long sleepover with Tyler and Gracie.  Looks like he was playing a Wii game with Tyler and Gracie.  I wonder who won??!!

Henry Says Make a Joyful Noise + RHSSC #70

Just because we are not home to go to church doesn't mean that Henry has to stay home, right?  Here he is singing right alongside Brian our minister of Fine Arts and Worship.

This is the card that we made to give to our children's music director and guess what... the name of our children's choir is called JOYFUL NOISE!  they did a FABULOUS job at this years Christmas program called MEET ME AT THE MANGER.

Once again we used the SAB Designer Paper SYCAMORE STREET.  The words were generated by computer because I didn't have a stamp that said exactly what I wanted.  The music notes are from NATURES PACE.  Colors used: Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango.

This is also Red Hot Stamper Sketch Challenge day.  This is the sketch we had to work with...

Oops! I guess I got carried away and made two. :) This is a NEW stamp set called ALL DRESSED UP which can be purchased as a bundle with the Framelits, and the buttons are cut from the SWEET BUTTONS EMBOSSLIT.

Miss You Already

Henry is sad because we are leaving on a very important trip! We are on our way to Florida for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Convention!!   I can't wait to get there and see all the fabulous new ideas from other demonstrators.  An added bonus (besides the fact my hubby is joining me) is that we are sharing a Disney Resort condo with my sister and her hubby so we are headed out early and making a week of it.  While we are gone Henry will be staying with Tyler and Gracie so he won't be lonely. New Spring Mini

So what has Henry been up to?
Well, he has been helping my hubby with the remodel project in our basement - my new KITCHEN!!
At Lowe's they picked out a new tool...Dale LOVES tools -

This tool will be perfect for making all the cabinets that will house my dishes and my cake decorating supplies.  This new kitchen will also be handy when holding classes (it already is a blessing) or large family gatherings.
So on to a Henry Says card... I was trying to get to sleep on New Years Eve and a thought hit me...I never prepared swap cards for the Leadership Conference next week.  What to do?  I wanted to try a new stamp set from the Spring Catalog.  Well, of course my mind drifted to HENRY SAYS, but what theme card? Oh I hate that when I can't sleep until I can resolve my thought. Then it came to me, and I was able to sleep, but first thing in the morning I had to put it together, and I must say...I LIKE IT!

Swap cards are fronts only but I made one as a full card for my own stash and this is what I put inside

Angry Bird Birthday

I have many nieces and nephews that have moved out of state or in one case out of the country, so I don't get to see them as much as I would like.  Last Summer my niece, Heidi, along with her husband, Dennis, and the kids, Edmond and Millie came for a visit.  I had a super short time with them, and they had a bit of a time warming up to me, but after lunch I pulled out my ipad and that certainly sparked an interest with 3 1/2 year old Edmund.  He wanted to play ANGRY BIRDS!  Seems to be a universal language.  Right then and there I knew which card I was going to send to Edmund on his next birthday.    Happy 4th Birthday, Edmund!!

Bordering on Romance

Happy New Year Everyone!



These are the cards that I made for our Pastor of Worship and Fine Arts.

As our choir director he sends out a birthday card to all the faithful who sing or minister in any way in the music at church, so these are for all the ladies.  I took the Music Note Wheel (#120327 $6.50) off the wheel and mounted it on the Clear Mount Cling Foam (#124236 $10.95)

I really, really, love doing this with my wheels - it's perfect. 

Now I can get all my music notes straight!

I love being able to make my own designer paper with stamps.  I stamped the notes in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and then sponged the edges with a Tea Stain ink spot.

It was a lot of coloring with the Blender Pen but they sure turned out pretty.
