Encouragement

Tuesday night my friend and fellow Red Hot Stamper, Donne, and I hosted a Ladies Night Out for the young ladies at church.  They are the SPRING girls because they range in age from post college age through 30 (ish).
Donne shared a devotional and I showed them how to make this card with the intention that they would use it to encourage someone else.

Then Donne and I wanted to encourage them so we made each of them a treat that coordinated with the card they made

Here you can see them together.

It was such a blessing to see these young ladies, laugh, cry and pray with one another, sharing their requests and challenges.  I couldn't think of a better way to spend an evening.

Beautiful Fall Treat

The HOSTESS CODE for OCTOBER is W7ENX7EF
Please use this Hostess Code when placing your on line order in the month of October 2015
.......................................................................................................................................................
The perfect Fall Treat for you and your friends and family.  Like these so much!!  How about you?  I will have just a few of these at the Craft Sale on October 24th (see the side bar of this blog for details) but I will also take order for only $2.00 each.

These cute boxes were made with the CURVY KEEPSAKE BOX DIE.  I cut them from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and stamped them with Early Espresso Ink using the GORGEOUS GRUNGE Stamp Set. The leaves were stamped with FLOWER PATCH and cut out with the coordinating Framelits.  Which is also what I used for the flowers.  A simple CANDY DOT in the center makes it just perfect.

Sentimental Sunday

It's official! our daughter is a BLACK BELT!  We couldn't be more proud!!!

I can tell you that I would NOT want to be on her bad side (or meet her in a dark alley)

The award ceremony... Julie, her best friend, Julia, and Julia's 14 year old daughter, Taylor, all earned their BLACK BELTS that day.  I loved watching them test.  I think the skits that they have to do at the end are my favorite.  Each one's skit was perfectly fit to their personalities.

Because Tyler is already a BLACK BELT (he tested last November) they gave him the privilege to hand the Black Belt to his mom!  Rather emotional

Taylor and Tyler have been best buds since birth so this too, was an emotional and sweet time when they bowed to one another

 And then the BIG hug!!

Two BLACK BELTS in the family!!

This is the card that I made to congratulate Julie.  I found an image on line then used My Digital Studio to create the card front.  I used the words from FEEL GOODS stamp set which fit perfectly for this occasion.

Scrapbooking Saturday

Last week Saturday was my All-Day Scrapbooking and Card Making Event.  It was a small group but we had so much fun and now I can't wait until my next one.  Won't you join us?  Put it on your calendar for January 23, 2016.
Want to see what you missed out on?

This is one of the pages that I made for a give away.  Everyone earned raffle tickets for each layout that they did, if they used punch art, Stampin' Up! dies or stamps, etc.

I think this was my favorite layout of the day

So put it on your calendar for January.  It will be the perfect timing to scrapbook all those Christmas pictures you take.

Thanks for stopping by!
