Made With Love

Thursday, June 7, 2018

I'm so excited that FLIRTY FLAMINGO was carried into our color revision. It is such a wonderful color and teams up so perfectly with so many of our other colors in the line up!
This darling card (inspired by Wendy) features the APRON OF LOVE Stamp Set with a Flirty Flamingo Apron!!

I used a 1-1/4" x 5 1/2" strip of Designer Paper from the (retired) Whole Lot of Lovely 12 x 12 pack, but any black and white Designer Paper will fit the bill.
I do like, however, how the dots on the Designer Paper team so well with the POLKA DOT BASICS EMBOSSING FOLDER.
I colored in the little flowers with Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay and Flirty Flamingo markers and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz

APRON BUILDER FRMAELITS:

I was pretty happy when I found out that the Apron of Love Stamp Set and the Apron Builder Framelits were carried over into the Annual Catalog.
Measurements: Whisper White Thick card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Whisper White front piece 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 embossed with the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder
Flirty Flamingo 5/8" x 5 1/4
Silver Glimmer Paper 1/4" x 5 1/4

Beautiful Bouquet

Wednesday, June 6, 2018

Everyone loves to receive flowers and I am no exception.

This is the beautiful bouquet that greeted me when we came home from our trip to Greece.

They were from Jeff, Jess, Sawyer, Lily and Mercy for Mother's Day!

And they brought us this second bouquet for our anniversary!

Theses peonies smell AMAZING!!

This beautiful card was made using the stamp set BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET and JAR OF LOVE.

I pulled out my brick wall mask and the EMBOSSING PASTE for the background. I simply love this!! It was inspired by Rebecca on Demonstrator Planning Place - a Demonstrator exclusive Facebook page. Bright Wishes

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

Using your Stampin' Blends makes this card so much fun!

You can color in as much or as little as you want according to your taste. On this one I chose to highlight the flowers and greens leaving the wishing well neutral - HOWEVER...the gals at the Stamp a Stack Class can choose to color in their wishing well. I love to give them a choice.

This card was inspired by Candace on Pinterest.

Soon you will be able to order some NEW colors in the Stampin' Blends, and I cannot wait to get mine!!

Card in a Box

Monday, June 4, 2018

Another one of my day care kids have graduated from high school! If only you knew how old this makes me feel - oh my *sigh*
My Little Joey (called "Little" Joey because we had our own Joey. who was 13 years old when Little Joey was born)
These two Joey's formed this amazing bond right from the start

You can see what a fun kid he was by his darling smile.
Joey LOVED tractors and because our back yards overlooked a field, he could stand out on the deck FOREVER just watching them go back and forth, back and forth.
I took Joey's picture with his favorite tractor toy (I think I went through 2 or 3 of these tractors over the years) every year until he was 7 years old when we had to trash the last tractor. I knew that some day I would be using these pictures for something special and I guess his graduation is the perfect time.

I saw a card-in-a-box idea from Gemma, and wanted to duplicate it, but I could not cut these photos down to fit the boxes that she made for it, so since I had a ton of card boxes on hand for gifting cards, I thought instead of making my own box (I could if I put my mind to it) I would just use what I had on hand.
Oh, and here is the handsome Joey today

This next one was taken at his open house yesterday

Happy Anniversary

Sunday, June 3, 2018

Today, Dale and I celebrate our 41st Wedding Anniversary!!
I cannot imagine doing life with anyone else but this man!
He truly knows what it means to give of himself for me. And not just me, he truly has a servants heart.
Last year we were not able to do anything special for our 40th Anniversary because of all my surgeries. We were hoping to take a weekend at Mackinaw Island, but the Lord saw fit for us to be able to celebrate on the Greek Islands of Santorini, Samos, Patmos and Aegina, as well as several days in Athens.

Happy Anniversary my Love!
Thank you for loving me well all these years!!

Happy Mail!!

Saturday, June 2, 2018

When we arrived home there was a TON of things to catch up on.
Dale took an extra day off to catch up on all the orders and shipping for his business daleshandmadesoaps.com You can check out his site and see what all the excitement is all about.
I jumped right in to my normal COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY class, and groceries (had those delivered) and MAIL!! Lots and lots of mail!! Some were junk, some were bills (maybe that is junk too ~lol!) but I also received some wonderful Happy Mail from friends.
This beautiful Mother's Day card is from my pen pal, Becky. She also made me this cool MOM key fob.

The other Happy Mail was from the gals in my Recipe Club

I can't wait to try these recipes from Jan

This card and recipes are from Charlotte

These last two are from Kay

Don't they all sound so delicious!! I love the decorated recipe cards...so much fun!

Thank you ladies for making my day!!

Cards with a Flourish!

Friday, June 1, 2018

Sometimes I cannot tell which card I run out of most is Sympathy cards or Anniversary cards. That is why I am giving the gals a choice at the June Stamp a Stack classes as to which version they want to make.

Stamp Sets used: FLOURISHING PHRASES & BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET

I cut the flourish out using the FLOURISH THINLITS DIES

Both of these stamp sets and the dies are carry-overs from the previous Annual Catalog. Are you as happy about that as I am!!??

Embossing Folder: SOFTLY FALLING

I cut the circle out using the LAYERING CIRCLES FRAMELITS and added some Pearls. I also spritzed it with some shimmer by adding rubbing alcohol to some of the WINK OF STELLA in a SPRITZER BOTTLE. I wish you could see what I see. The photos just do not do these cards justice.

I popped up the top layer (5 1/4 x 4) with Stampin' Dimensionals.

TIP: I cut the flourish out of the THICK WHISPER WHITE Card Stock to give it more stability. The card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) is also THICK WHISPER WHITE Card Stock, but the top layer is from the standard WHISPER WHITE CARD STOCK.

Why do I choose to use the different weights of card stock? I feel by using the Thick Whisper White gives the card a stronger, more stable foundation and the same goes for the flourish - it's just more stable. I also do not believe I need the thick card stock for the top layer which would just add more weight.

I love having the choice of the 2 weights of the Whisper White and the Very Vanilla. You can check them out HERE.

This card was inspired by Linda
