In this weeks ADVANCE newspaper (did you know I used to work there in the layout dept?) I read the Mother Lode column by Cathy Runyon. I remember Cathy when I worked there and she was such a sweet lady who loved the Lord. It was evident in how she lived and how she wrote her articles. In the busyness of life I normally skim very lightly over the articles, but for some reason I decided to read Cathy's column. In it she talks about babies being born in December vs. January. Do you want a tax deduction or in Cathy's case she hoped to deliver in January when her insurance coverage kicked in. She talked about Christ and His special birth (which wasn't December 25 by the way) but that Mary and Joseph were on their way to be "counted" - most likely something to do with paying a tax. At the very end she says " On December 25, the gifts are a reminder that Chrismas is all about that one special birthday. And while your tax bill is still to come, rejoice! The debt for sin is paid. Merry Christmas!" And to this I add..."AMEN, and AMEN!!" Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.
One last Christmas card to share with you all. I am glad to put away the Christmas stamp sets for a while and work on some fun, fresh new ideas. But in the mean time I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
I hope you are enjoying time spent with your family and loved ones.
I just love the Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder. How simple yet elegant with the Christmas Gifts Stamp Set embossed with gold.
