Destruction/Construction has begun!! My craft room is going to be fabulous and I can hardly wait, but first it must get worse before it gets better - right?!
Dale purchased the drywall and started putting it up on Monday, April 7th - so we will call this DAY 1/WEEK 1
Everything has to get shifted away from the wall.
This lovely apparatus is holding up the drywall that Dale had to glue to the cement wall. Now that was fun trying to get around - especially since he wanted to spend Saturday working down there and I had a Stamp a Stack class. The ladies got to make their cards in my kitchen at class yesterday! (should have taken a picture - sorry)
Mudding has started! Would have got further if he didn't run out of drywall tape and mud
In a few months this wall will be complete with cabinets from IKEA
These are the ones we chose
Mine will have three sections of drawers with a door section on each end. We forgot to take a picture of the cabinets we bought that will go above them (looks like this is a bad habit of mine), but they will hold all my punches plus a myriad of miscellaneous supplies. It will be so good to have things behind doors and in drawers.
Stay tuned for updates - it is a slow process but I am being patient. We took my Color Coach to Lowes and had them color match some paint for the walls (Sahara Sand) an accent wall (Tempting Turquoise), and some new Rich Razzleberry to re-paint the shelves that are holding all my stamps. You can see those in the second photo above.
Time to snooze - it is church in the morning!
Thanks for stopping by!
