Our original plan was to take a long weekend and spend it at Mackinac Island, but after 2 foot surgeries this year and now a back issue, I realized that I would not be able to do that much walking. We decided to make an alternate plan and instead went to Chicago to see Aladdin live on stage (Broadway version) Oh my goodness - was this ever amazing!!
Everything from the costuming to the staging and the special effects!! TOP NOTCH!! Worth every minute!!
Once the curtain went up we were not allowed to take any more photos, but the sweet gal sitting next to us was kind enough to take our photo.
I couldn't stop grinning all through the production and Dale (who has never seen the animated movie) was equally impressed. A definite WOW!
Miss Lucy stayed with one of the gals from our church who was just hoping for a chance to puppy-sit! Lucy even stayed over night there which was good because we didn't arrive back home until 2:30 am. The next day Lucy totally crashed. I don't think she really woke up until 3:30 in the afternoon, such a lazy dog. But in the evening she was raring to go and I had to take her out for two long walks.
