My mamma was never a wealthy woman by the worlds standards. She never had more than her original diamond that my dad gave her, and was perfectly happy with the costume jewelry that she would pick up here and there.
After she passed recently we pulled out all her jewelry, allowing all the kids, and grand kids to take what they would like as a remembrance.
Believe me there were many more pieces before I took this photo.
This necklace may not be made of diamonds and real gold, but it is precious to me.
I wear this each day and as I look in the mirror from time to time it is a wonderful remembrance of a life lived well.
Thank you for sharing in my Sentimental Sunday
