Christi's Creative Crew: Best Catch

Last year my hubby went fishing for the first time with the Men from church, and now he is hooked. I told him he really doesn't need one more hobby, but he has already purchased a rod and reel for the next trip in June.
This first card I tried but wasn't really thrilled with it.

But this second card was a winner for me. I love the colors and the scene created in the circle. It was inspired by Tracy Jacobs on the Demonstrator Planning Place Facebook group.

I cut a circle from a scrap of card stock, layer it on my Whisper White Paper then stamped the water image from HIGH TIDE using BALMY BLUE ink, a DAFFODIL DELIGHT sun, then I masked the sun with a 5/8" circle before sponging the sky with some SO SAFFRON and a little BALMY BLUE in the water, Then I stamped the fisherman with MEMENTO BLACK INK and sponged just a bit of Balmy Blue ink at the water area. The fish was colored in using my WATERCOLOR PENCILS and shaded with my BLENDER PEN, and the belly of the fish colored with the IVORY STAMPIN' BLEND MARKER. That fish just jumps off the page doesn't it!!
