Weekly Challenge

Sunday, September 20, 2020
This last week's team challenge was called a RETRO Challenge
It was inspired by the garage sale that our team had, selling our retired product.
It was a very successful sale if I do say myself!
This is the card that I shared with them - I used GREAT SPORT Stamp Set along with the star stamp from BETTER TOGETHER.  The STITCHED STARS Dies are still current and I added the MVP using PLAYFUL ALPHABETS and our new FOAM ADHESIVE STRIPS. The "birthday" is from WELL WRITTEN.

The first  card came in from Bonnie - she used TEA SHOPPE Stamp Set, and used Sugarplum card stock - also a retired color. It matched well with the Rococo Rose Ribbon. I'm so thankful that my team is sending out their cards to their friends and family.
INSIDE:
The next  card to come in is from Barb. Barb used the SUMMER SILHOUETTE Stamp Set. Her colors are Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz. - so pretty!
Our next card is from Lynda - she said that she made this for a friend and that she couldn't "bear" to get rid of it. (I'm keeping mine too!!) - so cute!
Our next card is from Vicki - she said that the stamp set is called Wonderful Wings from 2001 - now that's a retro set!!
And she used watercolor pencils & wink of stella to color in the butteries.
Linda K said that the stamp set "And Many Mower" is an all-time favorite set

Pam used the stamp set Polar Pals - a set from 2005
Karen used the stamp set WETLANDS - it is one of my favorites too
Inez said that this is one of the first SU sets that she ever bought. It's dated 1998
Anna used the CUSTOM TEE Stamp Set with the colors Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight
Rachel used the stamp set HOLIDAY HOME
And Bonnie made this card special for her grandson.
This last card is from Debbie O. she used the BEST BAR CODES Stamp Set from 2007 and a label from a soup can
Such fun this past week making cards using some of our older sets

One of the best things is that it comes with all the tools needed to get started right away, making it easy for you to have a fantastic die-cutting and embossing experience right from the start.
Here are some simple facts that Stampin' Up tell us about the new machine:

  • The machine includes a solid, full surface impact foldout platform to support solid and stable performance.
  • Its high grip feet minimize sliding on surfaces.
  • It has a compact footprint for easy storage and transport.
  • Its platform is designed to naturally guide products into the rollers for a smooth user experience.
  • The ergonomic handle flows well and balances the perfect amount of rotation and pressure for precise cutting and detailed embossing results.
  • You are going to LOVE how smoothly and easily it cuts! AMAZING! And with the new specially designed flatter dies, they cut through like butter!
You may remember that originally, the magnetic plate was not going to be available till later this year. However, it is available TODAY! so you can add it to your Starter Kit!
I know you are probably also waiting on the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine. But that won't be available until later this year.
