Sometimes making cards for men are the hardest to make. I came across my Noble Deer Stamp Set and just love it, but it is RETIRED!! BooHoo. Thought you might like to see them anyway.

New Years Day Wedding

A young couple from our church got married on New Years Day, and I was asked to make the cake!

They only needed a small cake for the bride and groom to cut so it was an easy task. It was also a labor of love since the mother of the bride is a dear friend.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I have been writing to my pen-pal, Becky, for 40 years now and this is the card that I sent her for New Years. And the sentiment I wrote on the front of her card is also the same sentiment I would share with you all. Have a wonderful New Year! I pray God’s richest blessings on you all and I also hope we will spend time with one another in a variety of ways over this next year 2010.

  WHOOOYAWW!!!!! National Anthem

For today's post just click on over to http://thewaiteestate.blogspot.com to view and hear the video that we posted of our son, Jeff, singing the National Anthem at the Grand Rapids Griffins Hockey game on Sunday. Needless to say, we were the proudest parents there.

I have been working on scrapbooking this holiday time off, I'm hoping to get some more photos up soon.

Coloring Journals

Wanted to make up a simple gift for Tyler and Gracie to give to my two day care girls during our gift exchange.  I had two notebooks on hand, but wanted to make them age appropriate for the girls.  Then I remembered the Storybook DSP I had on hand.  I was able to get one journal covered with one sheet of the DSP.  Then I used some retired DSP from 2009’s Sale-a-bration flyer.  I was so thankful to have the colored pencils on hand to round out the fun gift.  The girls can color their own cover as well as draw, write or whatever they choose on the pages inside.  I can hardly wait to start earning more FREE merchandise during 2010 Sale-a-bration starting January 5 – March 30th.  When you purchase $50 in merchandise you get one item free from the Sale-a-bration flyer.  If you were one of my customers in 2009 you should be receiving your copy in the mail soon.

Charlie

This week Charlie is staying home with his daddy who is off work.  I can only imagine that they are having a great time together, but I sure am missing my Charlie snuggles.  Here he is enjoying some time in the baby swing…

…Well, maybe not so much!!!  But even baby pouts are cute don’t you think?!  You can just see I am really enjoying having Charlie to take care of.
