Team Christmas Party

Friday, December 6, 2019
We had so much fun at our team Christmas party last night.
I'm always so encouraged when there is a good turn out, and we had 14 of us there making my craft room VERY full!
I don't take a lot of pictures because I am living in the moment, enjoying the time with my team, but we had a wonderful spread of yummy foods for our potluck and a fun gift exchange.
The gift I received was a lovely collection of buffalo check ornament & a Michigan magnet, plus some lip exfoliate and lip balm.
Carla made a treat to share with everyone - love the colorful candy canes - so thoughtful, Carla!
We played a fun game of BINGO and the ladies went home with a ton of Stampin' Up! product as well as some goodies from Dale's soaps and candles.
At our November Team Meeting I issued them to a challenge using the empty toilet paper holders that we get in bulk from my hubbies job at our church. They are about 1/3 the size of a normal size and they are a bit more sturdy.
Here are the creative ideas that everyone came up with:
 Lynda made these darling reindeer.
Anna made an ornament for her tree. She colored her Whisper White twine with Poppy Parade and wrapped it all up. The picture really doesn't do it justice. - very cute!
Janell is using hers for her Christmas table settings - So elegant with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper.
Linda made these darling Easter egg holders. I love the punch art!
Carla stacked 2 of them together and made a cute top hat candy holder.
This is what I made originally to give them an idea of what they could make. It is filled with candies, and is two of the TP holds taped together.
Linda and I had a similar idea for Easter. I had this cute little Easter bunny in my stash so wanted to put it to use on this challenge
And my last idea - I stacked 3 of them together and made a holder for the napkin and silverware for a holiday table setting.
I received some thoughtful gifts last night as well...
Some yummy mug cakes, a beautiful festive kitchen towel, a gift card and Debbie crochets these darling jar toppers. I love the hand made touch!  Thank you Debbie!
Barb shared a yummy bag of Christmas nibble mix.  Crazy that we don't make this during the rest of the year and it is always a favorite. Love the hand stamped tag! Thanks Barb!
This gift is Coffee and Cream - with the cream being some Mary Kay Satin Hands lotion. Cute & clever idea! - Thanks Bonnie!

Natures Beauty Bunny

Wednesday, December 4, 2019
I absolutely adore this darling little bunny from the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set, but the best part of this stamp set is that Stampin' Up! is donating $3.00 for every stamp set that is sold!! The choice of charity is to help with mental wellness, and we sure know that this is a much needed help for so many. Every family, at one time or another, will fall into the need for help in this area.
After spending the entire month of November, fundraising for our grandson's rare condition, I can appreciate each and every sale that will help donate to this cause.

Here are the products used on this darling card
Ink: Jet Black Stazon, Seaside Spray, Silvery Shimmer (no longer available)
Paper: Whisper White, Seaside Spray, Feels Like Frost DSP (no longer available)
Card Inspired by Melissa Davies

And The Grand Total Is...

Sunday, December 1, 2019
If you have been following my blog (or following us on Facebook) you will know that we have been holding a fundraiser for out grandson, Sawyer who was born with a 1 in a Million, rare condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum.
Sawyer's body is unable to repair damaged DNA, and that damage mostly comes through the UV rays from the sun. Sawyer lives a life mostly indoors, but when he goes out, he needs to wear UV protective "gear" where every inch of his skin is covered in special clothing, gloves, helmet, etc.

Recently he went outside with his daddy to clean up the leaves. This is his life. He will forever be looking at life (while outdoors) through a protective shield.
When we started out on November 1st we had a blank thermometer

Dale & I purposed in our hearts to donate 10% of sales that each of our businesses brought in.
What we learned is that this fundraiser was not all about us giving from our businesses - in fact our businesses probably did not increase in sale one tiny bit because of it. We learned that God took this out of our hands from from the beginning and BLESSED this endeavor beyond our imagination.
Our Grand Total: $2,355.10!
We only had 1 day out of 30 where we had no sales or donations. That is quite a lot to say the least - like I said - We were blessed beyond our imagination.

Donations have come from near & far, from old & dear friends to brand new friends.  Donations came in from as close as next door and from as far as California. Some gave out of their bounty while others gave the "widows mite"  (Mark 12:41-44, Luke 21:1-4). EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY will help Jeff & Jessica as they meet the needs for Sawyer as he grows as well as for their trip to the National Institute of Health in Baltimore in February 2020.  We also hear, through the grapevine, that there may be more donations coming in past the November 30th deadline. That's GREAT! and we will definitely keep you posted.
Here is a personal thank you from Jeff & Jessica:
"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen" Ephesians 3:20-21
This passage says it better than we ever could! We are overwhelmed and amazed by your love and generosity towards our family! Thank you for giving for Sawyer's care. This will be an incredible help, both now and into the future. We are beyond blessed, and thank God for each one of you!
                                                      - Jeff, Jessica, Sawyer, Lily and Mercy -

Thanks for giving!
And thanks for stopping by!
Christi
