My 13 yr old friend, Jade, made the 7th grade Basketball team and her brother, my buddy, Zander, is playing his second season of indoor soccer. So before I left for Florida I made up some treats and cards for them. I used the retired stamp set Just Soccer for the ball on this card, but Yippee Skippee! Stamp Set is still available!! You can get it in wood mount, clear mount or as a download for My Digital Studio
The stamp set I used on this next one is called Just Basketball which is (of course) retired but these are good ones to hang on to for such a time as this
I found soccer ball and basket ball wrapped chocolates at the Dollar Store and filled the Curvy Keepsake Boxes up with treats for them. So proud of these kids, doing so well in their sport of choice.
Keep scrolling down if you want to see what we did on our vacation yesterday!
What a fun inexpensive day it was yesterday! We drove to the Polynesian Resort and parked our car there for the day. We checked out what the Polynesian Resort has to offer and then purchased tickets for a luau on Wednesday night. This was taken in their lobby.
We will also be able to stay there to watch the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle while sitting at their beach area. We hear it is the "best seat in the house."
We could walk from there to the Grand Floridian which is exactly like the name GRAND! Victorian Style.
Check out this Grand Stairway
Back to the Polynesian and we hopped on the Monorail and got off at the Magic Kingdom where I snapped this photo
At this point we got on a bus that took us to the Contemporary Resort. They have some really nice shops (most places do). This was taken outside (water-side)
We jumped on a boat (Bay Lake) which took us to Fort Wilderness Campground.Even the Disney Clydesdales have to take a bath. We were told that they work 3-4 days a week and always get a bath after they work.
From here the boat took us to Wilderness Lodge. This was pretty cool looking - inside and out
I took this picture at the store inside Fort Wilderness because when I was doing child care my "little" Joey (because our son was big Joey - and they were quite the buddies) for a short time called us Chip & Dale. I sure wish that would have stuck I think it is so cute.
I think I took the most pictures at this Lodge because the decor was so cool
Can you spot a rabbit? a turkey? a wolf? a moose? no??Well here you go - a closer look
The cool lights hanging in the main lobby
A look at their swimming area
From here we caught a bus to the Boardwalk (I feel like I am playing Monopoly!) This was the cool light hanging in the lobby.
The Boardwalk has a ton of cute shops and eating places (a little pricey OR you had to eat your food outside and today was a cool, windy day so we decided to wait. From the Boardwalk you can get to the SWAN Resort andthe Dolphin Resort. Still not sure why it is called the Dolphin Resort because these sure look like fish to me!
We hopped on another boat which took us to Disney's Hollywood Studios where we got on a bus that took us back to our original stop - The Polynesian! Everything was super easy to find and if we ever had a question we could just ask because everyone is super friendly and helpful at Disney!!
Thanks for stopping by!
