On Valentine's Day we chose to NOT go to a restaurant where we would have to fight the crowds, instead we chose to make a from-scratch lasagne and salad and take it to my parents to share a meal with them and have a night of games and Netflix.
This is a picture of my daddy and I playing Chinese Checkers. I asked him where this old game board came from and he wasn't exactly sure but he thought perhaps his dad (my grandpa) had made it, or it could have been a purchase way back when. Either way, it is a pretty old board, but I remember as a little girl playing this game at my Grandpa and Grandma's house with my dad. Of course he ALWAYS won - and this time was no different - he beat me AGAIN! pretty sharp for 88 years old!!
I had to buy new marbles for it but at only $2.99 I think it was a good deal. I will have to practice so I can try again to beat him!!
NETFLIX? Want to know what we watched with them? My sister suggested HOW THE STATES GOT THEIR SHAPES which ran on the HISTORY channel. Very interesting. We watched 3 different episodes. It was a fun night with my parents and now there will be MANY more nights we can choose from to enjoy a meal out together without the Valentine crowds.
Thanks for stopping by!
