The tip for the bride card is to first cut the bottom edges of the dress then slide the cut part over the Layering Oval Framelits and then run it through the Big Shot.
Stampin' Blends used: Ivory (skin) Daffodil Dark (hair), Pool Party Light, Calypso Coral Light, Bronze (hair).
Here are some tips when attaching detailed pieces like the DETAILED FLORAL Thinlits Dies. I'm not sure who came up with this idea first, but it is worthy of sharing...
I took one of our STAMPIN SPONGES and attached a clip (so my fingers do not need to touch the glue). Then I added some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to a piece of wax paper (a paper plate would work too). I dip my sponge in the adhesive, then "pounce" it lightly on the back of the Detailed Floral piece before adhering it to the front of your card. I laid my detailed cut out onto wax paper before "pouncing" the glue. You could use your Silicone Mat, but I use wax paper so that I can throw it away. You are bound to get some adhesive onto the front of the detailed piece, but all you need to do is pull out your Embossing Buddy and tap that over the top to take away the sticky feel.
Colors for these first two cards:
Grapefruit Grove & Petal Pink with Whisper White
I wanted to highlight all three main images from this stamp set, so I pulled up some sketch challenges and landed on this one from Dawn Griffith. I thought it would work perfect for my oval image. I wanted to keep the same color scheme of Grapefruit Grove, but I also added in some Basic Gray.
How I did the balloons: Because the largest oval from the LAYERING OVALS FRAMELITS cannot fit the full image with the balloons I chose to stamp the balloons separately and hand cut them out, then attach them with glue dots.
The balloons are colored in with Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend, Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker, Pool Party Dark Stampin' Blend.Dress: Grapefruit Grove Stampin' Write Marker, and Smoky Slate Dark Stampin' Blend for her belt and shoes
Skin: Ivory Stampin' Blend
Hair: So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker
The three flowers are from PETAL PALETTE using Grapefruit Grove Ink. I love their soft feel. I attached them with glue dots and added small pearls to the centers.
The Oval and the Happy Birthday Banner is popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
