Christi's Creative Crew: Masculine Sympathy Cards

Recently I needed several masculine sympathy cards so I set a goal to create a BUNCH of those cards to have on hand and also to have available for the stores that I supply.
I started with the very versatile LOVELY AS A TREE stamp set that just recently retired but I believe every good stamper had purchased this set and now you have more ideas to use it for...

This first one was inspired by Paula Dobson

Card #1 - I sponged on ink in the following colors:

Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake

The trees were stamped with Mossy Meadow

The sentiment from Flourishing Phrases was stamped by using my Stampin' Write Markers in Crushed Curry and Early Espresso.

Card Stock: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White

Ribbon: retired Mossy Meadow

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree with Buffalo Check Back ground stamp, Flourishing Phrases

Card Stock: Gray Granite, Whisper White, Night of Navy

Ink: Gray Granite, Night of Navy plus the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker

I created an oval mask to sponge through the opening.

The thin Night of Navy stripe was created using my trusty ruler and the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker (Regals Collections)

Fun Stuff: Layering Ovals Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon

Card #3 uses the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set - I guess this is our new set that replaced Lovely As A Tree. I love how they can work together.

The sentiment is a super old stamp that I have that is not a Stampin' Up! stamp but it is one of my favorites for a larger sentiment.

Ink: Mossy Meadow, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake Combo, Mossy Meadow light
Fun Stuff: Stitched Shapes Dies, Sponges, Sponge Brayer
Tip: For the top layer I started with a piece of Very Vanilla 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and using my Sponge Brayer I brayered it with Balmy Blue, then sponged on some Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo, then using the Sponge Brayer I went over it all again with Balmy Blue. I love how it turned out
