One of the new products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper (154300)
Sometimes items like this get over looked so I wanted to pull it out and see what I could come up with
It's kind of hard to see in the photo because they are all white pieces.
And there are so many more options than what I came up with because you can color each piece with your Stampin' Blends or sponge daubers. In fact, you can use some of the pieces as a mask and double your pleasure.
However - this is what I came up with
Card #1 - I left the sentiment off becasue I'm not sure what I will be using it for yet. I also added one of the small sprigs to make it look fuller. I also added and extra layer with a scalloped circle (Layering Circles Dies #151770) in Mossy Meadow and a stitched circle for the sentiment. (Stitched Shapes Dies #152323). All popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.Card #2 - This front piece made me think of the fence that Mr. McGregor may have had up to keep Peter Rabbit out of his garden. I was looking through my bin of extras and found this cute FABLE FRIENDS (retired) bunny and even the Crushed Curry "happy" die cuts (Well Written Dies #151816) which I actually layered 3 on top of each other to make it stand out.
Card #3: I LOVE the Seaside Spray card stock color and HOPING that Stampin' Up! will bring this color into the main color families line-up next time they do a color re-vamp. I pulled in the HAPPY THOUGHTS Stamp Set (#154507) for the sentiment. This is where I took a little liberty...I found a VersaMark Marker at a local craft store so that I could use it for just the "happy thoughts" portion so that I could heat emboss it with white embossing powder onto black card stock. Then I stamped the full image using Memento Black Ink onto Basic White (new product that replaces Whisper White #159276), and I cut the words apart as seen. The little flowers are from Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and punched with the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch (#154239) AND the beauty is that you can buy the stamp set and punch as a bundle and save 10% (#156214)
Card #4 - I am using the Dandy Garden 6x6 Designer Paper again (#154297) I have seen many examples using this piece and I'm wishing that I could buy just this piece in bulk. I embossed it with my new favorite Embossing Folder PAINTED TEXTURE 3D (#154317). I'm using the same HAPPY THOUGHTS Stamp Set, but this time I stamped the sentiment in black before I embossed it, then I stamped it a second time with Bumblebee ink onto scrap Basic White and fussy-cut the "happy thoughts" to pop it up using the MINI STAMPIN' DIMENSIONALS (#144108).
I pulled in my DRAGONFLY GARDEN Stamp Set (#154411) and coordinating DRAGONFLIES PUNCH (#154240) to stamp the dragonfly. BONUS: Purchase the stamp set and punch as a bundle and save 10% (#156224). Optional: there are dragonflies on some of the designer paper that you can punch out and use on your card.
Card #6: Other than the Seaside Spray card (#3), this card is my favorite. I actually had this cute little turtle from BACK ON YOUR FEET (#149385) all ready to go in my left-over stash, and it was already colored and mounted onto an Old Olive scalloped circle (Layering Circles Dies #151770). I used the MESSAGES DIES (#154422) for the sentiment. This is such a great one piece die but you get a multitude of cut outs. Check it out: Awesome, right!!??
There is a stamp set that bundles with the Messages Die - Many Messages Bundle (#156222)
This stamp is ONE STAMP with many words that match up exactly to the one piece die. HOWEVER - what I ended up doing is cutting my words apart so now I have individual word stamps and I can use them with any of the die openings available.
