Today I am featuring the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS Designer Series Paper
I had only 6 - 6x6 pieces of this patterned paper left so wanted to see what I could do with the remaining pieces.
I started with this pattern... it has the maize & blue colors of our Hudsonville Eagles so I went towards a graduation card.
The Grad hat die is a non-Stampin' Up! die - please forgive, but I love it and it fits the bill for as many grad cards as I make for the stores, etc.
I had a small piece left over so made this version
Next pattern I played with...actually I used 2 patterns for this card and the sprigs are from Celebrate Sunflowers Dies as well as the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. (in fact I used the "Let's Celebrate You" on the inside of many of the grad cards that I make.
Colors: Misty Moonlight, Purple Posy, Bumblebee. Please be aware that the Purple Posy in-color is retiring, so if you love it, grab it! Check out the links below. Card inspired by
Jeanette HunterThis next one is a fun card - I like the scattered dots of varied sizes and colors vs the ones above where they are in a row.
I changed up how the goat was attached to the card - Susan stamped hers directly onto the DSP and that just did not sit well with me so I stamped him on Basic White Card Stock, colored in with my Stampin' Blends, and fussy cut him out, popping him up with dimensionals.
WAY TO GOAT stamp set is returning to the New Annual Catalog, but this paper is NOT.
This next one ended up being my favorite
I've always got puppies on the brain and I like to send cards to Lucy's pups for their first birthdays
those birthday's will be coming up this summer so I thought that I would get a head start. I was inspired by
Debbie Mageed, and changed up the type of dog. She used the Pampered Pets doggy, but the Bella & Friends doggy matches Lucy's pups better. Little Fonzie was brown with white
I had a little strip of this paper left so made this one...
This layout was fun and was inspired by
Tami HewlettTami made her layout with the cute kangaroos, but, like I said, I have puppies on the brain!
Little Cosie was our all brown pup
The last piece of Designer Paper I had on hand was this stripe
I was able to get 4 cards from one 6x6 sheet. The night of navy dots pattern is the backside of the stripe paper. Chachi was our black and white pup. Lola, Joey & Bentley were all brown and white with varying shades of white vs brown.
Which card was your favorite?
