Christi's Creative Crew: Hey Girlfriend Part 3

Here we are on day 3 of sharing Hey Girlfriend cards - remember this set will no longer be available after June 30 - so get it now before it is too late.

Card #1 was inspired by Stacey Marsh

We will be making this card at a future Come Stamp With Me Tuesday Class

Since I have all the little girls cut out for them, they shouldn't mind heat embossing the "happy" and cutting it out. Stamp set used for the words: Pretty Perennials - and this set is also available until June 30th as it is in the January-June Mini Catalog, but it did not carry into the new annual catalog.

The base is Coastal Cabana, but I colored her dress with the Just Jade Blends

The squiggle lines are hand drawn so you can go as crazy as you want.

Once again I had no idea how she did the background so this is what I did:

I used one of the basics masks and my White Craft Ink along with one of our new Blending Brushes to add ink to a piece of Basic White card stock, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I grabbed a second Blending Brush and some Coastal Cabana Ink and brushed the color on until I achieved the color I wanted. I took a paper towel to wipe the color off the white dots.

For the greeting I took a scrap of white cardstock and brushed on some Coastal Cabana ink and then stamped the greeting in Memento Black. All the balloons are fussy cut and glued down. I just love these sweet girls.

Card #3 is the card that I wanted to make most of all (inspired by Patty Bennett)

I had one sheet of this Designer Paper left over from the SNAIL MAIL 12x12 pack, and wanted to recreate this card. I will tell you that fussy cutting the dresses out was a royal pain because it was really hard to see the black ink lines, but...as you can see - I got it done!! What I really need to do is make a card with 4 of the girls to honor my 3 sisters and I who have the best relationship ever!
