Let's talk Paper Pumpkin

I was pretty excited to get my May kit with the baseball theme:

I'm afraid it is too late to get the May kit as the cut-off date for any Paper Pumpkin Kit is the 10th of the month.

Our youngest son, Joey, played baseball from little league through his senior year in high school specializing in the position of short stop, but he also broke a long standing record of most sacrifice bunts. He was a fabulous bunter and he was also the "jack-rabbit" running the bases. When he was little he would spend hours practicing his sliding skills (which were also top notch) Proud mama? You bet! I can't wait to make him a card using this kit.

Our oldest son also played little league. He, too, was labeled "jack-rabbit" for his speed. They would put him in center field and ANY ball hit to the outfield he would be there before anyone else!! During 3rd grade, Jeff was introduced to tennis so after a spell he had to choose which one he would pursue since the seasons were at the same time. Tennis won out and he put his "jack-rabbit" skills to use on the tennis court. He considered playing in college, but wanted to focus on his schooling. He did, however, sing in for his freshman year and that was so fun, but trying to have a full schedule plus working as full time as he could to pay his college bills, the extras had to go by the wayside so he could focus. Proud mama? You bet!!

And I'm pretty excited to get my June kit:

I will say that the color instructions are definitely a plus!!
The April Paper Pumpkin Kit was a lot of fun, a sweet theme with popsicle, watermelon and rainbow elements.

This is a card that I made using the stamp set that is included in the kit. It was inspired by Wendy Stainback on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook page. So Cute!! The "HAPPY" is from the PLAYFUL ALPHABET and was popped up with the Adhesive Sheets.

One of the gals who attends the Paper Pumpkin night here in my home downloaded this print out and shared it with me.

During my 'bout with covid the only thing that really sounded good was ice cream bars so I guess I had ice cream on the brain when I made this one. I took one of the kiwi popsicle shapes (who eats a kiwi popsicle anyway?) and flipped it around, sponged the white side with Early Espresso and the stick with Crumb Cake. I used a scallop circle punch to take a bite out of it, then backed it with the white side. I used the dies from the NOTHING'S BETTER THAN bundle and double layered it with Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana.
The embossing folder I used for the card base front is the new Painted Texture 3D. I'm really loving this new embossing folder. Nothing I hate more than a flat front card. I love texture

I also made Gracie a note pad using the large rainbow and other cards with the rainbows but I forgot to take pictures of them *sigh*

I'm saving one large watermelon and all of the stickers to use for my scrapbooking. I'm afraid that my scrapbooking gets pushed to the back burner, but I love to use these elements for it.
