Paper Pumpkin Alternative cards

Are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber? I would love to have you subscribe and choose me as your demonstrator!

Each month this box of inspiration comes to your door. You can make up the kit as-is with the great instructions and everything you need OR you can use your creative imagination to come up with alternative ideas.

There is a small group of us that get together the first Thursday of each month to work on our kits together. Everyone has access to all of my supplies (stamps, dies, paper, etc) if you want to make alternate cards or projects.

We worked on the April kit last week so first I will share Anna's alternate cards

The pink with tiny dots is an envelope liner, the third card is the back side of one of the z-fold cards. She colored in the flower and leaves cut-out piece with Stampin' Blends.

I will say that on the on-set I was not thrilled with the kit, but it was still cute enough to make up the Z-fold cards so I did that as is. The only thing I changed was adding a little bling on the butterfly body on this first card.

On the inside I stamped "they say it's your birthday" from a retired stamp set
I thought it was appropriate with the caterpillar turning into a butterfly

I wasn't fond of the sentiment stamps so I opted for a basic Happy Birthday on this second card made as is

I liked the concept of the third card but added a cute baby from the Moon Baby Stamp set to give just a little added touch.

On the inside I stamped "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, do you know how loved you are?" so I was happy with this one.

I really didn't spend a lot of time on these three cards because I LOVED the Designer Paper that was provided with the envelope liners and I wanted to work with those instead.
This first card is a case from the front of the new catalog. I just changed up the colors and stamped the flower from Happiness Abounds. I really like the notebook die that comes with that set. The stitched label die is from Stylish Shapes Dies

Card #2 I was able to get 2 strips from one envelope liner, and then I used the Hand Penned stamp set
I have a bunch of layouts on hand and I use those layouts to come up with my cards. My birthday stamp is from the long ago retired Petite Pairs. Some stamp sets I just can't let go.
That was about all I did on Thursday night -
On Friday I wanted to play with it some more (which is very rare)
I still had some more pieces from the envelope lining and Anna and I were saying that we thought the pink polka dot design would make a cute flower so I used the flower stamp from Happiness Abounds and stamped these flowers for my next card.
The bermuda bay circle was cut from one of the envelope liners. The leaves were cut from the Hues of Happiness DSP

The third design from the envelope liners is the crushed curry with little stars
I chose to use some of the flowers that I cut out from the Hues of Happiness designer paper
This paper is gorgeous! I have used 2 FULL 12x12 sheets just of the cut out flowers and leaves - did you realize that the dies from Happiness Abounds will cut out the flowers and leaves (all but the tiny leaves, but those are easy to cut by hand). the angled piece is from a Stitched Rectangle Die, and I used the Early Espresso faux linen ribbon.
Anna decided she was not going to stockpile her leftovers from her kits anymore so she left several pieces with me to use or donate.

When I was working on these today there was one piece of a pink with white polka dot liner left so I used it on this next card instead of the regular Designer paper (inspired by a card I saw on the demonstrator planning place facebook page - a great perk for being a demonstrator)
The clouds are created with the Basic Borders Dies.
The stamp set is Sweet Songbirds.
I cased this from another demonstrator but changed up the Designer paper to use the envelope liner. I used a different sentiment for the outside and on the inside I stamped "you've got something to celebrate! Congratulations" I've been needing some expectant mom cards and thought this would work well.

Thanks to Anna, I had all 6 envelope flaps left and I used them to decorate two of these boxes,
and I had one piece of the yellow liner left that I had cut 4x5-1/4 (the other ones I cut 4-1/4 x 5-1/2) so I had to make a card to match. I'm already loving the Tahitian Tide In-color!!
I followed the box instructions from Cathryn

This kit said it would make 9 cards with envelopes - I was able to make 20 cards and use my own envelopes. Then...with the help of Anna's left overs I was able to make 14 more!!
