Make & Take Project for my Team Retreat

 My final post from our team retreat.

After we spent the day making up the shoebox swaps, we paused for a pizza dinner and a fun game of BUNCO! This is always so much fun!! We play 6 rounds, then have a make & take project before doing the second round of 6.

This is the make & take project that we made

A beautiful wedding card using LIFETIME OF LOVE and FOREVER FLORALS. 

 

Make & Take Instructions:

Base: Fresh Freesia: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”

Score at 4-1/4”

Inside piece: Fresh Freesia: 8” x 5”

Score at 2”, 4” 6” on the long side

Die cut the large intricate die from the center 

Designer Paper: FLORALS IN BLOOM

     2 for the inside @ 2-1/4” x 5-1/4”

     3 for the front @ 1-1/4” x 4”

Using the FOREVER FLORALS DIES:

Die cut 1 of the larger labels die with Granny Apple Green

Die cut 5 of the smaller die with Basic White

Also from FOREVER FLORALS DIES:

Die cut a floral group from Fresh Freesia Card stock 

Die cut one leaf from Granny Apple Green

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Starting with the intricate piece, poke out all of the little pieces
2. Fold this piece into a W shape, use your bone folder to get the crease real good
3. On the back side add a small strip of Tear ’n Tape across the center fold, both top and bottom - peel off the backing
4. Attach a double layer of LINEN THREAD to the Tear ’n Tape, then add another layer of Tear ’n Tape over top to secure it. DO NOT PEEL OFF THE BACKING!
5. Stamp the “congratulations” onto one of the white labels
6. Sandwich that label with a blank white label over the Tear ’n Tape
7. Now you can add this inside piece to the inside of your card base by folding it into the W shape and laying it inside. You don't want the sentiment piece to hang over the right side of your card when shut. It is approximately 1" from each side.
8. On another white label stamp the floral with Fresh Freesia and the inside of the flowers with Peach Pie
9. On another white label stamp the “forever & always” using Granny Apple Green Ink.
10. Adhere all of your Designer Paper pieces - 2 on the inside, 3 on the front.
11. Add the white labels as shown
12. Stack the “forever & always” onto the Granny Apple Green label and pop this up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front of your card
13. With tiny dabs of liquid glue add the leaf and the flowers to the front, then add 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels 

I encouraged my team with a challenge to make a card using this layout, and I wanted to show them that they did NOT need the FOREVER FLORAL die (it is still current), but that they could cut a square, rectangle or circle.

This is the card that I made to show how to do that. 

Please pardon that I used some non- Stampin' Up! products, but a friend gifted me with some Winnie the Pooh papers and I wanted to use them.

I used a leaf die from one of our Paper Pumpkin add-on die sets for the three leaves on the front, and a Linen Thread bow.
