This has been a tremendously busy section of time for me with the remodeling project going on, Stampin' Classes and a bunch of cake orders.

Today I will share a cake that I made recently for a gal at church.  Mother to 4 boys with the oldest one graduating from High School this year, so her hubby wanted to theme her cake around this big event in their family. It was a lot of words to fit on a small cake.

Get 25% - 50% off many of the retiring products - This special offer begins tomorrow, May 22 and is only available through June 4 and while supplies last. If you missed out on a product the first time, this is your last chance to get it before it's gone for good!

I guess this would be week #6 and time to show you how the remodel is going.  Sometimes it seems so slow and yet I promised to be patient.  My retired stamp shelving unit is painted and back together...

and now all these retired stamps...

have a home again... yes, they are all alphabetized!!

My IKEA desk is back in place...

Along with the shelves, but I still need to use a funky table until my other storage is complete

I love these Key Shaped Coat Hooks that I found at our local Florist (on the clearance rack no less). The ladies will be so glad to have a place to hang their coats when they come during the cold weather.

Well, out new lights are ordered, but not in yet, but as you can see Dale put up some of the grid work last night so now we have the base work for the ceiling tiles and the lights when they arrive.

This laser light looks like something from an alien movie casting a beam of light so the grid work will be perfectly level.

Weekly Deals and a Sneak Peak

TODAY is Garage Sale Day!  So if you live in my area please stop on by to shop the retired stamps and accessories, plus Craft Sale items perfect for end-of-year teacher gifts, Graduation gifts, Father's Day gifts, etc. Looking forward to having you stop by!  Hours: 9am-3pm Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and 22.

Here are the WEEKLY DEALS for May 20-26...Looks like it is time to stock up on ribbon!

I personally love the ribbon and love to add it to my cards and projects.  It lends dimension and just an added focal point.  Not all cards need ribbon, of course, but I sure am glad that I have it handy for when I do need it.

BLENDABILITIES!! - I am officially in LOVE with these NEW MARKERS!!  Each color comes in a 3 pack of light, medium and dark.  What I used on this pretty flower is Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  They will be available to purchase June 2nd when the NEW Catalog goes live!!  Start your wish list NOW!

I added some highlights using my Signo White Gel Pen.  I loved the way it made it "pop".  The NEW stamp I used is called BLENDED BLOOM and after using the BLENDABILITIES it makes the flower look as if it is 3 Dimensional.

You can be sure there will be a BLENDABILITIES class coming up!!

What else is coming up? I'm planning to do a RIBBON SHARE again this year with the NEW In-Colors and the NEW ribbons offered in the NEW Catalog.  More details to follow.

MORE? YOU BET!  However - I am holding off on my Open House until my craft room is complete so I might be having it closer to when the HOLIDAY CATALOG os released.  It is just too much to work around.

CARD CLUB: We have one more month on this rotation of CARD CLUB and you can sign up to be in the next CARD CLUB starting in September.  We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month.  You are required to make a minimum purchase of $15.00 and it is a 10 month commitment.  One of the months you will be the hostess and receive the hostess credit FREE product.  You are guaranteed $25.00 in hostess dollars where you can choose anything you want including the exclusive Hostess Stamp Sets.  I already have 8 lovely ladies signed up!  So there is room for 2 more.  If I get enough for 2 classes of 10 ladies each, I will revisit that and most likely include a second CARD CLUB that will meet on another night.  How perfect would that be!!??

NEW CATALOG - I have a FREE one for you!!  When you come to a STAMP A STACK CLASS, a Tuesday COME STAMP WITH ME CLASS, or a PROJECTS CLASS you will receive one for FREE!!  For those of you who do not live in my area and cannot pop in for a class I will gladly send you a copy when you place an online order.  Just click HERE to get started.  I can't wait for you to see it - you will love it!!

Red Hot Challenge #125

It has been a long time since I have participated in the Red Hot Stampers Weekly Sketch Challenge, but when my biggest inspiration (Gracie) came over on Saturday to spend some time with us, we started working on her end-of-school-year teacher gift.  We had already decided to make Miss Scott a bouquet of Laffy Taffy flowers (Miss Scott's favorite candy) using one of my (retired) Stampin' Up! kits, and then we really needed to make a thank-you card to go with it.  That's where the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge came in.  I knew I wanted to use the same flowers on the card that I used on the Laffy Taffy so I checked out the sketch challenge for this week and it worked out perfectly!  This is what I had to work with...

And this is what I came up with...

And here is my inspiration... and her Laffy Taffy flower bouquet for her teacher.  Thank you Grandma Great, for the recycled flower vase it worked out perfectly.

You're Invited

Last night at church we honored our youth pastor for his years of service to our church as he and his family took a call to a church planting ministry in Chicago.  We will miss this family so very much! He has been a great youth pastor, mentor and friend to our youth with out-reaching effects. Under his direction we have seen several of our young men and women choose to go into the ministry.  We couldn't be more proud of him.  His wife and children also have been a HUGE compliment and help in everything.  WE WILL MISS YOU CHRIS, KRISTI, ERIN, MICAH, EMMA, and MAGGIE!!

After the service honoring our 2014 graduates we held a big party for them and I was very honored to be asked to make a special card for their invitation.  They were making general invitations for the congregation, but they wanted something special just for them.  I followed a sketch by Laura Laures to make this card for them

I used three different stamp sets: Happy Hour, Hip Notes, Just Sayin' and a non-SU stamp for the You're Invited.  Colors used are: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight.

Sentimental Sunday

Yesterday when Gracie was with us we had several errands or stops to make.  One of the stops was to the cemetery where Dale's parents lay.  Each year Dale's oldest brother and wife order a  bouquet of beautiful silk flowers to adorn their gravesite.  Today was the day to go and bring them and we always take a picture so they can see how nice the flowers look.  Gracie never had a chance to meet her great grandparents but she does carry her Great Grandma Katherine's name as her middle name.  She was quite intrigued when she saw her name on Great Grandma's grave stone.  I don't think she ever connected how she got her name.  So we just had to get a picture of her.  It makes us sad that she never got to meet her name sake because she was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known.

We miss you Mom and Dad!  Can't wait to reunite in heaven some day.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful Lord's Day!

Silly Saturday

I have an alien in my garage!

Dale is painting my DVD style shelf unit!  His friend came over to check out the new paint sprayer since he bought one just like it.

He wanted to make sure he knew how to use his own so Dale graciously let him spray some of the shelves!

Today, Dale brought all the pieces downstairs and assembled them. Just a few more touch up spots and it will be standing upright.

By Monday I should be able to put all my retired stamps back on it.  I love to be organized!! (and alphabetized)

Just a heads up that I will be having a garage sale on Wednesday and Thursday this week selling a bunch of retired stamp sets in the effort to clear out, but it will also help me to achieve the Washington DC trip.  I will be able to turn the cash into product sales!!

So stop on by May 21 and 22 from 9am to 3pm and shop our retired stamp sale.

WHERE: 4845  Summergreen Ln, Hudsonville.

Contact me if you are looking for a specific stamp and if I have it I can set it aside for you.
