Christi's Creative Crew: It's All About The CROSS

I made a cool Easter card for a customer that placed an online order (check out my ordering special below)

The size is larger than normal and I used a non-Stampin' Up! embossing folder for the cross. (6-1/4" x 4-3/4)

My stampers love the faith based cards and Easter is ALL ABOUT what JESUS did for us on the cross.

I pulled out some retired leaf "ribbon" and cut out some Gorgeous Grape flowers from FLOWERS OF BEAUTY Dies, and I added some of the LOW PROFILE DOTS (Petal Pink color) for the center of the flowers. I love these dots because they don't add bulk to your card causing more postage.

How I created the background: On a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock I first inked up the front of the TIMBER embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink, then ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Next I added some Early Espresso lines using my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker at 1-1/4" intervals. (your grid paper is perfect for lining this us using a ruler). Then I added a little bit more Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush.

The Cross was embossed on a piece of Basic White, sponged with Crumb Cake then cut out. It is popped up on the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
