Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, December 20, 2015
Each year we purchase a Christmas ornament for the grandkids. These ornaments go onto our Christmas Tree with the understanding that when they get a home of their own they will get all of them back.  I like to choose an ornament that reflects their hobbies or something special that they love or what happened during the past year.  This is the ornament I chose for Tyler - Our Karate Kid - Black Belt!!
And this is the ornament I chose for Gracie - our sweet ballerina (and her favorite color is pink!)
And this is the ornament that I chose for Sawyer...
This was probably the hardest one because he is still a little guy and doesn't seem to have favorites yet, but the story behind this ornament is special because of all the health issues little Sawyer has had to go through these past several months.  During Sawyers most recent hospital stay to have his G-tube put into his precious little tummy for feeding, he was visited by 2 service dogs which he throughly enjoyed.  Combine this thought with the 50th Anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas and you get the reason behind my choice for his ornament.
The fun part is letting the kids put their own ornaments onto the tree and each year as they get older and taller the ornament placement gets higher and higher.  Maybe next year Sawyer will be able to join in on the fun!

Sweet Saturday

Saturday, December 19, 2015
With all the classes held here in my home my basement step carpet has gotten pretty NASTY.  So - with the proceeds from my craft sales I was able to put in NEW CARPET!! The industrial kind!! Super duper sturdy carpet that should hold up through all the traffic!!
Gracie had a day off from school to stay with Gramma so we went to the store to purchase a small vacuum for the steps
and Gracie couldn't wait to be the first one to vacuum the steps for me.

While we were out we picked up a "blind" package of Gracie's favorite SHOPKINS as payment for her helping Grampa cut out the freezer paper for his soap molds.
TADA!! one of the little SHOPKINS was a vacuum!
She thought it was so cool that we each got a new vacuum that day.  Can you see that Gracie is even wearing a SHOPKIN tee shirt?  This girl is obsessed!!
Every SHOPKIN has a name and this one is called Vicky Vac which I thought was cool because I have a sister named Vicky, and of all my sisters, my sister Vicky is the one that "mothered" me the most.  You know, telling me when I did wrong and steering me to the right path.  Most likely she is the one that taught me many household chores (like vacuuming.)  So - Gracie and I decided, unanimously, to name my new hand held vacuum "Vicky Vac!"
Never a dull moment when Gracie and Gramma spend time together!!
My sis popped in this week so I asked to try a selfie - poor attempt, but here we are! - That's it! - I am buying a selfie stick for our vacation and embracing the new generation of techie's

Reindeer Punch Art

Friday, December 18, 2015
This is the note card that Gracie will find in her lunch bag today.  I had one Reindeer left over from when I made treats for the craft sales and it fit perfectly on this 4 1/4" square card for Gracie on her last day of school before Christmas break.
Here is what the Craft Sale Treats looked like

A Creative Crew Christmas

Thursday, December 17, 2015
This past Monday night I celebrated Christmas with my team of stampers.  I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate this group of ladies.  They inspire me and support me (and I them).
After a yummy potluck dinner we enjoyed a rousing game of BINGO and creative play time making these beautiful ornaments using the FESTIVE FLOWER PUNCH (inspired by Melissa Davies)
Gifts were exchanged through a White Elephant gift exchange game which is always fun.  This is the gift that I received.  I absolutely LOVE IT!!
These are the gifts that I gave the girls.  Note books I found at IKEA and all I had to do was add a cute tag.
One of my favorite new products are the WHITE PERFECT ACCENTS and the sweet part is that you can use permanent Sharpie Markers to change them to any color you want or need.  I chose to give them each a set of gold and silver markers along with the White Perfect Accents and made up a cute package with the POLKA DOT TAG A BAG GIFT BAGS, TEA LACE DOILIES, and PRETTY PETALS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK.
Bet you wish you were a part of this amazing group of ladies!  Well, you sure can! Right now you can pay $99.00 (plus tax), and get $125.00 worth of product. But WAIT!! a great deal is headed your way during the Sale a bration period (January 5-March 31.) I would love to have you join my team at ANY time but a deal is deal, right??!!  Come January 5, 2016 you will get an extra $30 in product for the same $99.00 (plus tax).  Stay tuned for more info!

Special Order Part 5

Wednesday, December 16, 2015
Yes, this has been one of my busiest years with classes, craft sales and special orders, but since I love it so much it is not a chore for me (even though sometimes I can feel a bit overwhelmed).  That's when I take a step back, take some deep breaths and after a day off, I realize I miss working on all the cards and fun things that come my way.  This year has also brought me to my goal of $100,000.00 in sales.  Thank you so much for your business - I appreciate it beyond compare.  I know many demonstrators reach this goal in a much shorter period of time, but then there are others that never reach it so I'm good with whatever God brings my way.  I like to treat my business as a ministry, so the lives touched are way more important than any dollar amount.
This is another special order that I was asked to make - this time it was favors for a baby shower.
The grandmother-to-be also wanted to incorporate some of Dale's amazing handmade soaps.  Each (Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags) bag holds one half of a bar and the tag says "From Becky's Shower to yours".  The theme for the shower was going to be "Cute As A Button" so I pulled out my retired buttons embosslit to make buttons from Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe. (mom-to-be's color choice)
I'm so glad they liked what I came up with.  The cute little bags are decorated with a Tea Lace Paper Doily and held shut with a small clothespin - which, by the way, come in 3 varieties.  Click HERE to check it out.
Don't forget about the YEAR END SALE going on through January 4th
*Just a reminder of my very own special going on right now: when you make a minimum on-line purchase of $35.00 I will send you a thank you note as well as 5 FREE cards.  Thank you to those of you who have already taken advantage of the savings and my special offer.

Baby Thank You's and Congratulations

Monday, December 14, 2015
One of the young couples from church had their baby girl recently.  When they had the baby shower at church I made her a dozen of these cute Thank You Notes using the GOING WILD  Designer Paper Stack and some retired, Something Borrowed Designer Paper
This is the note I put with it from me
And this is the card I gave them after baby Beatrice was born.
I had some leftover pieces so I made up some more baby girl cards to sell or gift away
I love the availability of of the dies to add dimension to the cards.  I can't wait until they bring baby Beatrice to church so I can see how beautiful she is.
