Christi's Creative Crew: 2, 4, 6, 8!

At our May team meeting we made this 2,4,6,8 card for our Make & Take project

The purpose: to show how you can use designer paper for your multi-fold card

There are some folds that also use designer paper, but you need to like both sides (they need to coordinate), but this card only shows the one side

Start with a piece of designer paper 5-1/4" x 12" score at 2", 4", 6", 8"

the base is a standard 1/4 sheet of card stock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2

Remember all of the designer paper that we hang on to? This is a great time to use it on fun-fold cards like this.

Of course this was the designer paper that I used for the sample but I had a variety of papers cut from retired DSP so everyone got to choose.

We then used a variety of sizes of circle punches 2-1/4", 2-3/8" and 2-1/2"

They could decorate it as they liked or take it home to finish

I decided to take one of the pieces of DSP that I had already scored and create something totally different - BECAUSE I WANT YOU ALL TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND NOT JUST COPY ME

For this card I used the Two Tone Flora stamp set and dies & Calypso Coral Ink

My circles are 2" white, 2-1/8" starburst in Calypso Coral, 2-3/8" mint macron,

Inside I punched another 2-3/8" mint macron to hide the unfinished look, then added a 2-1/4" circle in white to add my words (from Color & Contour stamp set)

The scalloped rectangle is from the Scalloped Contour Dies

I added a few brass butterflies - I love these because they are flat and don't add bulk
