Christi's Creative Crew: Daisies!

Today I am featuring the FRESH AS A DAISY Designer Paper

Today's card was inspired by Rosanne

This style card is sometimes called a Dutch-door card

What I changed up: the daisies - I used the medium daisies from Daisy Lane because I have yet to purchase the new Cheerful Daisies Bundle from our new Annual Catalog.

The daisies are darling and I love all of the "bonus" dies in this set, but...

I also changed up the sentiments- on the front I used Sweet Songbirds and inside I used Charming Sentiments

Colors: Boho Blue and Copper Clay - I actually stamped the daisy again onto Copper Clay and heat embossed it with white and just fussy cut out the center so that I could have the colored center.

Here are the measurements and instructions that Rosanne shared with everyone

Measure & Cut

Basic White Thick card base: 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2
Boho Blue card stock: 5 3/8″ x 1 5/8″
Boho Blue inside card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 5 1/4″ x 1 7/8″
Fresh as a Daisy DSP: 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
You will also need a piece of Basic White for the inside that measures: 5-1/8" x 1-1/2"

Assemble

To create the “dutch door”, place card base in trimmer on the 4 1/4″ side. Then trim it at 1 3/4″ down to the score line.
Turn the card and trim off the top part of the card on the score line. The door should measure 5 1/2″ x 1 3/4″.
Emboss the smaller piece of Boho Blue card stock using the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder and glue to the front of the “door”.
Stamp and heat emboss two small daises on Boho Blue card stock with white embossing powder.
Stamp the flower centers with Copper Clay ink.
Cut the flowers with the coordinating dies and glue to the door.
Stamp the sentiment, from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. Die cut with the coordinating dies. I cut two additional dies and layered the sentiment for more dimension.
