Christi's Creative Crew: Military Card

Another customer request was for military cards - Navy to be specific.

The only military stamp I own is the background stamp that is camouflage which is more army so I was scratching my head at what to do.

I checked my go-to: Pinterest but nothing stood out.

At my last week Tuesday class we made this card

and I thought that the RAYS OF LIGHT background would work well so I headed over to google and printed off some Navy symbols and came up with this card...

I really love this little sailor guy!!

I thought that I would try another navy card and try a fun fold.

I pulled out some of my retired designer paper, and my Layering Circles Dies.

To create the fun fold I had two pieces of Basic White card stock that measure 5-1/2 x 8-1/2. I scored one at 4-1/2 and the other at 4-1/4 & 2-1/8. They were then attached together. The designer paper is cut 4 x 5-1/4 for the front, then cut the scalloped circle out. The two pieces of designer paper measure 2" x 5-3/8". The "Happy Birthday" comes from the retired Clubhouse stamp set.
