Craft Room Tour

Thursday, August 8, 2019
Good Morning Everyone!!
I am sharing another video with you today!
This one is a tour of my craft room. I like to see what other demonstrators have for their craft rooms and set so I thought perhaps you would be interested as well.
Come join me!

We laughed when we watched the video back, noticing that I repeat myself a lot when I say "here we go." I guess it is just a learning process.
Also I mentioned the Lucy's pups were 2 weeks old. Well, they were 2 weeks old when I filmed this video, but they are 3 weeks old now.
I sure would appreciate it if you would "like" my youtube channel and subscribe so that every time I post one you will be able to see it.

Lucy's pups are three weeks old today!
We take the puppies out of their box and let them crawl around on the floor each day, This photo was taken last week when they were still doing more of a belly shuffle, but now they are starting to get up on all 4's

In fact Katy has taken on the role of Nanny!

Tuesday Tips, A Labor of Love

Tuesday, August 6, 2019
I can't believe it! I made my very first video!!
Please excuse the messy craft room but I figure a creative person cannot be terribly neat and tidy or I wouldn't get anything done.
This is our card for today
I mention it in the video but I want to make sure I give credit to Bronwyn Frankham for the card design. I am simply showing you some helpful tips. Bronwyn (as far as I know) does not have a blog to link you to.
I have a wonderful space for my craft room (half of the basement) and it is all set up for my COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY CLASS.

Here are the supplies that I used for this beautiful card:
Stamps: FREE AS A BIRD, ITTY BITTY BIRTHDAY (in the video I said it was Itty Bitty Greetings)
Card Stock: Terracotta Tile (In Color for 2019-21), Whisper White & Thick Whisper White
Ink: Memento Black,
Stampin' Blends: Calypso Coral Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Mossy Meadow Combo, Crumb Cake Combo
Fun Stuff: Shimmer White Embossing Paste, Palette Knives, Smoky Slate Refill Ink, Decorative Mask, Paper Snips, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stitched Nested Labels Dies

Here are some photos that show what I explained in the video
If you want a banner that is stitched and cut it like this...it just looks unfinished
This is how you want it to look...
And this is how I explained it in the video...
After cutting out your stitched frame, turn it as shown and run it through your cutting machine again.
Here is my labor of love as I cut out all these birds-on-a-branch for everyone.
Again here is the card inspired by Bronwyn Frankham (sorry I do not have a link to a blog)
 INSIDE:
Oh how I would love to hear your constructive criticism on my first video so I can decide if I want to keep trying this new adventure.

More Masculine Sympathy Cards

For those of you who earned Bonus Days Coupons during July, it is time to redeem them now during the month of August.
Here is how to do it with your online order...

Today I have some more masculine Sympathy cards
Let's start with another woodsy themed card
I used up some scraps from my Wood Grain Designer Paper. Sorry to have seen this paper leave us but we had a good 2 year run with it which is very unusual.
Stamp Set: Colorful Seasons (& coordinating dies), Flourishing Phrases
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Early Espresso, Sahara Sand
Fun Stuff: Corrugated Elements, Linen Thread, Banner Triple Punch, wood button (retired)

On to some nautical Themed cards
This one doesn't say sympathy but I was making it at the time and left it blank so buyers could use it for anything they needed. This card was inspired by Hansi Brittain (no blog link)
One of my favorite tools to use is my Sponge Brayer. It comes with 2 handles and 4 sponges and I just rinse them under water to clean them, so no need to buy in quantity. I wanted to use a Crumb Cake Card Stock for layering but it just seemed so harsh. I wanted something softer so I pulled out some Very Vanilla Card Stock and used my Sponge Brayer to add color. Don't you just love the soft tone it gives?
I used a VERY OLD Stampin' Up! stamp set called COAST TO COAST. Stampin' Up! has had several lighthouse stamps over the years and I probably have owned them all but I have a hard time getting rid of this set that came with 4 lighthouse scenes.
But I combined the old with the new - using the Come Sail Away Designer Paper, Some Linen Thread and an old Vintage brad
Another Nautical card using the Stamp Set HIGH TIDE. It was inspired by Shana
My prayer would be that no one EVER would need to use a sympathy card - but that is just life. We mourn but not as those who have no hope. 1Thessalonians 4:13
If you are inspired in any way by my blogging or stamping I would be honored if you would consider placing an order with me.
Everyone who places an ONLINE ORDER  (minimum $50) during the month of August 2019 you will receive 1 FREE roll of the AMAZING 5/8" ORGANDY STRIPED RIBBON

Masculine Sympathy Cards

Friday, August 2, 2019
Recently I needed several masculine sympathy cards so I set a goal to create a BUNCH of those cards to have on hand and also to have available for the stores that I supply.
I started with the very versatile LOVELY AS A TREE stamp set that just recently retired but I believe every good stamper had purchased this set and now you have more ideas to use it for...
This first one was inspired by Paula Dobson
Card #1 - I sponged on ink in the following colors:
Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake
The trees were stamped with Mossy Meadow
The sentiment from Flourishing Phrases was stamped by using my Stampin' Write Markers in Crushed Curry and Early Espresso.
Card Stock: Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
Ribbon: retired Mossy Meadow
Card #2 is such a favorite - inspired by Bonnie O'Neill (no blog link)
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree with Buffalo Check Back ground stamp, Flourishing Phrases
Card Stock: Gray Granite, Whisper White, Night of Navy
Ink: Gray Granite, Night of Navy plus the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker
I created an oval mask to sponge through the opening.
The thin Night of Navy stripe was created using my trusty ruler and the Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker (Regals Collections)
Fun Stuff: Layering Ovals Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon
Card #3 uses the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set - I guess this is our new set that replaced Lovely As A Tree.  I love how they can work together.
The sentiment is a super old stamp that I have that is not a Stampin' Up! stamp but it is one of my favorites for a larger sentiment.
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Natures Peace DSP (retired), Very Vanilla
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Fun Stuff: Stitched Shapes Dies, Layering Ovals Dies, Linen Thread
Card #4 (Inspired by: Ann Schach) also uses Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set along with In The Meadow (both retired)
Card Stock: Sahara Sand, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake Combo, Mossy Meadow light
Fun Stuff: Stitched Shapes Dies, Sponges, Sponge Brayer
Tip: For the top layer I started with a piece of Very Vanilla 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and using my Sponge Brayer I brayered it with Balmy Blue, then sponged on some Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Flirty Flamingo, then using the Sponge Brayer I went over it all again with Balmy Blue. I love how it turned out
One more card for today
Card #5 was inspired by Patty Brown on Splitcoast Stampers
Stamps: In The Meadow, Off the Grid, Non SU Sympathy (all retired)
Card Stock: Whisper White, both thick and regular
Ink: Crumb Cake, Memento Black,
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake Light, Bronze, Mossy Meadow light, Rich Razzleberry Combo, Daffodil Delight Dark
Everyone who places an ONLINE ORDER  (minimum $50) during the month of August 2019 you will receive 1 FREE roll of the AMAZING 5/8" ORGANDY STRIPED RIBBON
This is what Stamping' Up! says about the 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon

Diaper Fold Treat

Thursday, August 1, 2019
It's August and we have a new Hostess Code
AND...
a New gift for you with a minimum $50 order placed ONLINE during August 2019
If you received a COUPON CODE during July you will want to redeem it in August. Don't loose out!
It is the AMAZING 5/8" ORGANDY STRIPED RIBBON
This is what Stamping' Up! says about the 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon
Our Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon is a delicate organdy craft ribbon with Petal Pink edges. Ribbon is an easy way to add style to your projects. Tie it, loop it, cut it. We have the styles you love in the colors you want.
  • Petal Pink
  • 5/8"
  • 10 yards
  • $8.00
This is the little "diaper fold" treat that I made for all the ladies who attended the July Stamp a Stack Classes using only a 6" x 6" Magnolia Lane Designer Paper. It fits a single Ghiradelli Chocolate perfectly, and who doesn't like chocolate!!
You can make these "diaper fold" treats in any size you want as long as your paper is totally square
Start by folding your square piece of designer paper in half, corner to corner
Fold the right side over so that the edge is going straight across
Repeat for the left side (think of it like a hug)
Now fold the front flap down
There is no need for adhesives - super sweet, super quick, super easy - and it changes up by your choice of Designer Paper and embellishments.
This next one was made with a 12" x 12" piece of Designer Paper from the MAGNOLIA LANE Designer Series Paper Package.
I stamped a large magnolia blossom from GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA Stamp Set, cut it out using the MAGNOLIA MEMORIES Dies, colored it in with the Petal Pink Combo Stampin' Blends, a little Daffodil Delight for the center of the flower. Crumb Cake for the stem, and Mossy Meadow Combo for the leaves. I finished it off with the beautiful 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon that you can get for FREE this month with a minimum $50 ONLINE order.
It its a pack of microwave popcorn, some cookies and there is still room for a little chocolate. This is a perfect teacher gift.
